TLM research

This section contains published and unpublished work concerned with my main area of academic research, Transmission Line Matrix or TLM. This technique was introduced by Prof. Peter Johns of Nottingham University from the 1970s onward. Its main strength lies in the intuitive way in which one moves from model to electrical network analogue, but detractors would say that it has a steep learning curve. It still has its spiritual home in Nottingham where they concentrate on all aspects of electromagnetics and the the application to meta-materials. From the start I was concerned with its use in diffusion modelling and this aspect blossomed after my move to UEA Norwich in 1989.
